I've enjoyed running since I was in my twenties, appreciating the ability to fit a run around a busy life and children.
Running was always a time for me to escape and clear my head and I usually ran solo, that was until a friend invited me along to a local running group and I found that running with other like minded people was great.
The encouragement, motivation and accountability it gave me was amazing, I've met so many lovely people through running and made life long friends.
During the pandemic I started to run more often, increasing my distances and taking on virtual challenges set by the club. I decided then that I wanted to tick a marathon off the bucket list, I ran my first marathon in 2021 and definitely got the bug as I've added a few more since then.
Joining Jog Scotland has really changed my running for the better and becoming a Jog Leader allows me to give a little back to the club, there's nothing better than seeing people start running, improving week on week and most of all enjoying it
