I started running over 30 years ago by running the Glasgow marathon in 1984 & 85!! However over the years, house & job moves meant I ran less & less & finally not at all for a long time. Around 12 years ago I joined the club and apart from breaks due to illness have carried on since! I've made amazing supportive friends here. In 2018 I did my jog leader training. I try to do some 10Ks & the odd half marathon - sometimes in the sun! Although I'll never be the fastest I strongly believe we benefit from continuing to run as we get older!!
