Tracy Rivett

Hi,
I'm Tracy, I've been running properly for around 13 years. I started running in Aberdeenshire, with my first proper race at the Baker Hughes 10k, and half marathon at Crathes castle. I trained as a trio of girls, and so always understood the power of support on those tough runs!
I've run with other clubs in my tour of Scotland, including Jog Scotland Shotts and Dumbarton AAC, and have many races to show for it! Ranging from fun runs to marathons (and most recently an ultra marathon!)
When I moved to Cumbernauld in 2019, my running had taken a bit of a dive and I had actually attempted to join On The Run early in 2020. I went along for a few runs as a New Year's resolution but then I got lazy and stopped going, then the pandemic hit and that was that. I continued running couch to 5k on my own before deciding in 2021 that I really missed the company and support. I went along to Drumpellier parkrun where I met loads of folks, who were not only already a part of On The Run Cumbernauld but were looking for some core team volunteers for a new Cumbernauld parkrun. And the rest is history.
Having run with OTR for a few years, I decided that I would love to help support others and become a jog leader, as well as an RD at Palacerigg parkrun. It brings me so much joy to help support people in their running.
When I first found my love of running, I said to myself - what if I didn't need to be fast, I could just go far - and that still remains true to this day!
